Jennifer
Ann Nix
As a student in Louisville,
Kentucky, Jennifer graduated from Louisville Technical
Institute with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in
Mechanical Computer Aided Design Drafting in 1999. She
went on to further her education at Louisville Technical
Institute with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in
Architectural Design graduating Suma Cum Laude in 2000.
After graduation in 2000, Jennifer was hired by Berry-Prindle Architects
as an AutoCAD Design Technician. During this time, she was responsible
for managing various architectural projects for the firm. Here she also
received extensive three-dimensional design training including working
with META Associates on hospital design and several residential developers
on patio home design. Shortly after joining Berry-Prindle Architects,
Jennifer was contracted to the United Parcel Service Engineering Department
as an AutoCAD consultant. She spent 18 months with UPS working with engineers,
designing and renovating new and existing UPS facilities worldwide.
In 2002, Jennifer joined Bayus Evola Architects (now Bayus Design Works)
to advance her career in the varied aspects of the practice of architecture.
She started as a CAD designer and has been promoted to a Project Manager.
Jennifer is now responsible for managing several accounts involving
architectural projects, ranging from single-family and multi-family
residential developments to office buildings and restaurants. A few
notable projects on Jennifer’s list are the UPS
Air Service Center, several franchisee locations for the Entrée Vous concept,
a satellite office for Cutting Tools, Inc., Signature Point (a large multi-family
residential development for Hagan Properties) and a six story 600,000 s.f. condominium
development in Destin, Florida.
Along with her project manager position in the firm, Jennifer has now
taken on a marketing role for the company, and is the Manager of Marketing. She
is utilizing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Marketing
emphasis that she is receiving from Sullivan University. She is responsible
for developing the new website for Bayus Design Works, helping to create and
develop client relationships develop marketing concepts for the firm, design
and manage company brochures, logos and presentations.
Jennifer has also acquired certification as a LEED Green Associate for "Green" building design and construction.
Jennifer lives in Louisville, Kentucky with her husband Kevin where they are
members of Wildwood Country Club and are active with the Golden Retriever Rescue
And Needy Dogs (GRRAND).
